As a Psychologist in practice since 1975, Dr. Reece has actively applied psychological principles and interventions as a private practitioner, consultant, and speaker. He has extensive experience consulting with businesses, state organizations, schools, hospitals, physician training programs, families, adults, and children.

Dr. Reece’s many years of experience have provided him with strong insights for understanding human motivation interpersonal relationships and organizational effectiveness. This understanding has resulted in successful implementation of:

  • Conflict resolution processes
  • Executive leadership development and team building
  • Employee assistance programs
  • Critical incident debriefings and workplace crisis management
  • Management training in the recognition of troubled employees
  • Change management processes
  • Consultation with businesses and organizations about diverse people issues, company direction and more

In recent years, Dr. Reece has often focused on consultation with closely held family businesses to help them deal with the uniqueness of those relationships, business demands, generational transitions, and change management issues. From major corporations to small businesses, the common denominator is people, and that is our work.

Dr. Reece is a member of the American Psychological Association, the South Carolina Psychological Association, the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis, and the Family Firm Institute. He is also a member of Toastmasters International and the National Speakers Association. Dr. Reece is President of Reece & Associates, P.A. Reece Associates’ network of professionals offers personal, career, and organizational effectiveness consultation to individuals, families, public and private businesses and organizations.

Dr. Reece earned his B.A. degree in Psychology from Presbyterian College and completed his Masters and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi. He is married, has a son, and spends any free time he can playing tennis, or snow skiing. He is a native of Greenville, South Carolina.  A major interest is, of course, the practice of psychology. “My work is meaningful and pleasurable enough to feel like play, so I always have the drive and desire to do more.”
